Blinds & Window Shades

Custom Blinds, Shades & Indoor Shutters

Custom window treatments give you the option to choose coverings that fit your windows perfectly. A range of sizes, colors and materials allows you to create a look that fits your unique style, while functions such as motorized lifting make it even easier to control the light coming into your home.

In-Stock Blinds

In-stock blinds work well for common window sizes and are readily available the day you need them. Looking for durability, privacy and light control? In-stock blinds give you the benefit of all three, thanks to their slatted design, adjustability and tilting capabilities.

In-Stock Shades

In-stock shades come in pre-measured sizes perfect for common windows. Instead of a slatted design, shades are made of fabric and offer a smoother appearance. You can choose from different types to fit your style preference and needs — including opacity for light control — depending on the amount of privacy you want.

How to Measure to Select Size

A window in a gray room covered with a white blind mounted inside the window frame.

Inside Mount

An inside mount is best if you want your window treatment to be flush with the window frame. Account for width by measuring along the inside frame on the top, middle and bottom of the window. For height, measure inside the frame on the midleft and midright from top to bottom. Measure the window depth to ensure enough room for the blinds of your choice.

Outside Mount

An outside mount is best for window frames that have a narrow depth. Account for height by measuring your window from at least 2 inches above the top sill to the bottom sill. Account for width by measuring 2 or 3 inches outside the frame to maximize privacy and enhance light control.

Find the Perfect Light-Filtering Level

Light-Filtering Blinds & Shades

Light-filtering blinds and shades soften the sunlight coming in through your windows and reduce glare so you can enjoy natural light without the harshness. These work well for rooms where complete privacy is less of a concern, such as living rooms.

Room-Darkening Blinds & Shades

Room-darkening designs block out most natural light but won’t put the room in complete darkness. These are great for bedrooms, home theaters or any room where you need more privacy or light control. They can also help keep rooms that get too warm at a more comfortable temperature.

Blackout Blinds & Shades

If you want to block all light from entering a room, choose blackout blinds and shades. They’re great additions to bedrooms and nurseries since they create a dark environment that’s ideal for sleeping. They can also be beneficial in offices and home theaters.

Beautiful Ways to Control Light

Window blinds and shades are a stylish and functional addition to any home. First, they protect against sunlight that can shine through windows and damage the soft surfaces in your home. Second, much like accent pillows and lamps, blinds and window shades play a big part in the look and feel of any room. From kitchen blinds and bedroom blinds to outdoor shades, see the different types to choose from plus installation options.

Venetian or horizontal blinds are standard blinds you commonly see with horizontal slats. You can get the basic option with drawstring cords, or cordless blinds are also available for a kid-safe option. For touch-button convenience, choose motorized blinds that come with a remote control.

If you’re looking for sliding door blinds or French door blinds, then vertical blinds are the perfect solution. They’re a practical décor choice known for providing insulation and an easy open and close.

For something created just for you, design your own custom blinds.

Shades add an inviting texture to your windows. Window roller shades are a simple way to cover your windows and block light from coming in. Roman window shades have different styles, including pleated and flat, and you can customize the fabric to match your décor. If you’re looking for blackout Roman shades, cloth or lined options are ideal for room darkening. Honeycomb blinds, or cellular shades, work double duty providing a combination of window insulation and privacy. Finally, for an eco-friendly, organic look, bamboo window shades can add a unique design to your space.
